Changelog

New features and updates from the Konekt team.

October 2026

Gmail integration update & other fixes

v1.0.2

Integrations

Gmail (Update)

  • Pictures placed inside an email's text (pasted screenshots, signature logos) now come through. Before, Konekt left them out because it didn't count them as attachments.

  • Gmail-sent messages no longer show "Delivery not confirmed" (or the plain "Sent" badge). Since Gmail never reports delivery, you'll now only see a badge when something actually went wrong

Other fixes

Domain Management

Domains can now be deleted even if they have associated tickets. Existing tickets are preserved and will simply be unlinked from the deleted domain.

Inbox & Composer

Resolved a race condition where the To and CC fields could persist from a previous ticket when switching views. The composer now waits for the current ticket data to load fully before populating recipients, ensuring drafts are not accidentally saved with incorrect contact information.

Improved Gmail Delivery and Bounce Tracking

v1.0.1

Integrations

Gmail (UPdate)

  • Reliable Send Status: Emails accepted by Gmail are now immediately marked as Sent. Previously, these would remain in a waiting state or show as unconfirmed because Gmail does not provide a separate delivery confirmation.

  • Bounce Detection: The integration now monitors your mailbox for Delivery Status Notifications. If a message cannot be delivered, the corresponding email in the app is automatically marked as Not Delivered or Delayed.

  • Error Reporting: When a bounce occurs, the specific reason (such as Address not found) is now visible on the message.

  • Inbox Cleanup: Automated delivery failure notifications from Gmail are now processed in the background instead of appearing as new tickets in your inbox.

Konekt out of Beta

v1.0

Integrations

Gmail

Connected mailboxes now sync tickets within a minute. Replies sent from Konekt remain within the original Gmail thread and support bidirectional attachments.

Slack

You can now route ticket alerts to specific channels. Teammates receive direct messages for mentions or assignments, and Slack thread replies are automatically saved as internal notes.

Signature Generator out of Beta

New

  • Added a toggle to switch between viewing your "Work-in-progress" and the "Current signature" live on your account.

  • Input fields now cache locally so you don't lose progress if you navigate away.

Fixed

  • Fixed the live preview to accurately reflect changes in real-time.

Inbox & Ticket Management

Ticket Table & Navigation

  • Multi-tab support: You can now use CMD + click (or Ctrl + click) on a ticket row to open it in a new browser tab without losing your place in the inbox.

  • Category management: A new Category column has been added to the ticket table. You can now view and set ticket categories directly from the list view.

  • Priority controls: Ticket priority has been restored to the ticket header, allowing for faster triage of urgent issues.

Inbox View Improvements

  • Sender Identification: The inbox list and contact records now display the sender's full name alongside their email address for better context.

  • Internal Notes: To make team conversations easier to follow, internal notes written by other users now feature a slightly darker background color than your own.

  • Snooze Icon: The icon for snoozing tickets has been updated from a bell to a clock for better visual clarity.

  • Flexible Tagging: When tagging team members in internal notes, the search now supports name variations. For example, typing "Robert" will successfully find users like "Róbert," making it easier to mention colleagues with special characters in their names.

  • Clear Formatting: A new button has been added to the composer toolbar, allowing you to quickly strip styling from selected text or your entire draft.

Other

Visual Consistency

  • Page headers: Page headers have been unified to receive consistent styling.

  • Input & Button Styling: All form inputs and buttons have been updated to ensure a consistent look and feel across the entire application.

Improved Forwarding and Recipient Management

v0.9.9

Inbox

Updated

  • Fixed an issue that prevented messages from being forwarded to new email addresses.

  • When using Reply or Reply All, manually edited recipient lists are now correctly retained.

Performance Improvements for Ticket Lists and Previews

v0.9.8

Inbox & Ticket Management

Updated

  • Optimized Message Previews: The ticket list now loads message previews using a server-side text extractor. Instead of downloading full email content and images to show a single line of text, the system only fetches the first 200 characters of plain text. This significantly reduces data usage and improves loading speeds down from a ~2.7s average, up to 8s, ~5 min total database time.

  • Efficient List Refreshing: We have changed how the ticket list updates. Instead of reloading all 2,000+ tickets whenever a change occurs, the app now only updates the specific ticket that received new mail. New database indexing has also been added to make sorting these lists faster, down from a ~1.2s average, up to 6.5s.

  • Improved Unread Indicators: Refreshes for unread counts and read marks are now debounced to prevent redundant server requests. Combined with new database indexes for user and workspace marks, these indicators now update with much lower latency.

Improved Ticket Accuracy and Read States

v0.9.7

Inbox

Updated

  • Ticket read states now persist correctly across page refreshes and navigation.

Fixed

  • Resolved a bug in the sidebar unread badge where the notification count was displaying incorrect numbers.

  • The ticket count within the inbox tab is now fully accurate.

New Branding & Infrastructure upgrade

v0.9.6

General

Branding

  • Applied the new Konekt visual identity and branding across the application.

Infrastructure

Database Performance

  • Increased database memory capacity from 1 GB to 2 GB to improve stability and performance.

Mesaure messages with reports

v0.9.5

Reports can now measure individual messages, not just tickets. When you add or edit a chart, the measure list includes: total messages, messages received, messages sent, average messages per ticket (plus average received/sent), and the share of "high-touch" tickets (more than 5 messages).

You can also group by Ticket, so a table shows the busiest threads with their message counts, the 50 heaviest come first. All of this works with your existing filters and date ranges, and shared report links include the new numbers too.

CC. improvements

v0.9.4

CC. Improvements

Composer & Inbox

  • Persistent CC. Lists: New incoming mail now correctly retains the original CC. list, ensuring all participants remain in the conversation.

  • Intelligent Positioning: The recipient suggestion list now floats above all other panels. It anchors to the input but automatically flips upward if there is no room below.

  • Expanded Suggestions: The suggestion list limit has increased from 8 to 200 contacts. Typing continues to narrow the list, and you can scroll through the full results using a mouse, trackpad, or arrow keys.

  • Refined Chip UI: Updated the visual design of the "To" and "CC" contact chips for better clarity and consistency.

  • Dragging Recipients: You can now drag recipients between the to and CC. field.

  • Reset Button: If changes have been made to the recipient list a reset button appears allowing you to quickly restore to the default.

Recipient Validation

  • Empty Recipient Warnings: If the "To" field is empty, a red "Add a recipient to send" hint appears next to the label.

  • Safety Guards: The Send and Schedule buttons are disabled (greyed out) when no recipient is present. Hovering over these buttons will display an "Add a recipient" tooltip.

  • Shortcut Protection: The ⌘+Enter keyboard shortcut is now guarded; it will trigger the validation warning rather than sending a recipient-less email.

Contact Management & Ordering

  • Smart Sorting: Contact suggestions are now ranked by frequency, analyzing both sent and received messages over the last 180 days to put your most-emailed contacts first.

  • Star Favourites: You can now star contacts within the suggestion list. Starred contacts are pinned to the top of the list and saved per-user to your workspace database, syncing across your devices.

  • Enhanced Search: You can now find contacts by typing their company name.

  • Display Improvements: Contact entries now prioritize the person's name on the first line. The second line displays their email and company name (e.g., anna@x.is · Acme).

Improved Inbox Previews and Flexible Category Tagging

v0.9.3

Inbox

Updated

  • Message Previews: The inbox list now displays a preview of the most recent message in a ticket rather than the first one. This includes both customer replies and internal team messages.

  • Conversation Formatting: The conversation feed now correctly preserves line breaks and empty lines for better readability.

Settings

New

  • Category Selector Preferences: A new setting under Settings → Preferences allows you to control how the category picker behaves. When "Keep open after selecting" is enabled, the picker stays open to allow for rapid multi-category tagging. When disabled (default), the picker closes immediately after a selection.

Email Channels

Fixed

  • Email Formatting: Fixed an issue where extra line breaks were being injected into incoming emails. Messages from Outlook and automated senders now display with standard paragraph spacing while maintaining intentional blank lines between blocks of text.

  • Access Permissions: Resolved "permission denied" errors that previously prevented some users from viewing channel and email address information.

Refactoring

  • Refactoring to billing page

  • All attachment and inline-image uploads, file selection, paste, and drag/drop logic moved out of the composer into a single hook.

  • Composer toolbar has been refactored

  • All DNS logic has been refactored

  • The domain card is split into four focused sections, with its controls and appearance preserved.

  • Billing page has been refactored

  • The reusable conversation types — pending send/snapshot, undo entries, delivery info and status, and message display details — now live in one shared module

  • All the pure email-rendering helpers have been refactored

  • Delivery status UI has been refactored

  • Recipient/header UI has been refactored

  • Recipient/header UI has been refactored

  • Inbound message bubble has been refactored

  • General message bubble has been refactored

  • Message timeline/list has been refactored

  • Quoted-history hook has been refactored

  • Draft and composer-state hook has been refactored

  • Send and undo-hold hook has been refactored

Improved Reliability for Assigned Ticket Updates

v0.9.2

Ticket Management

Fixed

We resolved an issue where updating tickets assigned to other team members would occasionally fail to save. This was caused by a bug in the notification system that triggered when a teammate was alerted to changes.

The following updates on assigned tickets are now processed reliably:

  • Category assignments

  • Status updates

  • Title changes

  • Tagging

Notifications for these actions will now be delivered to the assigned team member as expected without interrupting the save process.

Improved Email Threading and Enhanced Delivery Status

v0.9.1

Email Experience

Redesigned Quoted Replies

We have overhauled how replies are structured to ensure they display correctly in external mail apps like Gmail and Outlook. Previously, long threads would become cluttered with multiple nested boxes and large attachments, often causing emails to be clipped or formatted poorly. The new system quotes only the specific message you are responding to within a single, standard quote block. This ensures that recipients see a clean conversation that collapses correctly under one toggle.

Automatic Size Management

To prevent emails from being blocked or hidden due to large file sizes, we introduced new guardrails. If a quote exceeds ~90 KB, the system automatically lightens the payload by stripping unnecessary Outlook/Word markup and replacing heavy embedded images with a simple [image] placeholder. Small, standard-sized quotes remain byte-for-byte verbatim.

Quoted History Controls

You still have full control over your replies. You can preview the quoted history, remove specific sections, or turn off the quote entirely before sending. Threading remains consistent, ensuring your replies stay in the same conversation for the recipient.

Messaging & Delivery

Advanced Delivery Status Tracking

We have improved the visibility of your outgoing mail. Delivery status messages are now more descriptive, indicating if a message is Delivered, Bounced, Blocked, Delayed, or marked as Spam.

Proactive Status Monitoring

A new recurring test now runs every 15 minutes for up to two hours after a reply is sent. This ensures that even if an email provider is slow to respond, the app will continue to check and update the delivery status for you. Additionally, the Konekt team can now manually add information to delivery statuses in cases where no response is received from the email provider.

Performance & Infrastructure

App Optimization

Significant backend cleanup was performed to improve overall app speed and stability. This includes architectural improvements to how the Inbox list loads data, how tickets are grouped, and how individual ticket rows are rendered in the UI.

Message Reliability, Enhanced Security, and Admin Activity

v0.9

Inbox & Deliverability

New functionality

  • Blocked (suppressed) sends now show a red "Blocked" badge and an explanation on the message.

  • Replies that a provider hasn't confirmed after several hours now display an amber "Not confirmed" warning.

  • Added a new notification event: "Delivery problem with a reply I sent." This alerts you to bounces, blocked addresses, spam reports, and delays.

Workspace Administration

New functionality

  • Activity Page (Beta): Workspace owners and admins on Founding and Business plans can now access an Activity page. This includes search and filters for event types and dates.

  • Ticket Timelines: Clicking a ticket in the activity log now opens a full timeline showing sent/received messages, internal notes, and status or assignment changes.

Security & Reliability

  • Self-Healing Alerts: A new automated system checks for delivery issues every 15 minutes. It alerts the Konekt support team to failures and automatically retries sends interrupted by temporary timeouts or rate limits.

  • Protected Channel Settings: API keys and webhook secrets are now redacted for team members; only authorized admins can view full configurations.

  • Attachment Security: Implemented SSRF protections ensuring attachments only fetch from Konekt storage over HTTPS, with a 20MB cap and blocked redirects.

  • Token Protection: Workspace members can no longer view channel or email-address delivery tokens.

  • Infrastructure: Patched all known library vulnerabilities and blocked external access to internal database helpers and delayed-send endpoints.

App Maintenance & Performance

Updated functionality

  • Support Tools: The Konekt support team can now view and resend stuck replies. Database-level guards prevent accidental double-sending, and all manual resends are logged.

Code Refactoring

  • Significant backend cleanup was performed to improve app speed and stability. Large files were broken down into modular components across the File Library, Settings, Response Templates, and Ticket Statuses pages. While these pages look the same, they are now more reliable and easier to update.

  • Refined message delivery logic: A single, tested system now manages "who gets this" rules across Reply and Reply All actions.

Improved quoted history

v0.8.12

Quoted history

The quoted history edit controls are now integrated directly inline within the editor. The separate quoted history popup menu has been removed to streamline the editing experience.

You can now also edit or remove any text that is in the quoted history.

When you've edited or removed anything in the quoted history, a "Reset" button appears above it (hover to see it, next to the collapse arrow) that puts every quote block back to its original text.

Smarter Inbox Navigation and Improved Oversight

v0.8.11

Inbox & Messaging

New

  • Image Resizing: After adding a picture to a message, you can now click it to drag the side handles or select preset sizes (S, M, L, Full). These size adjustments are preserved in the sent email.

  • Comment Indicators: Ticket rows in the inbox sidebar now feature a comment icon displaying the total count of internal comments.

  • Dynamic Category Contrast: Category chips now automatically adjust text and border contrast if the assigned color is too similar to the background, ensuring readability.

Updated

  • Live Status Updates: The status, assignee, and category fields in the ticket header now live-update automatically when changes occur, eliminating the need for manual page refreshes.

  • Reply Logic: When replying, the system no longer duplicates the entire conversation history or adds every previous user back to the To and CC fields; it now focuses on the context of the latest reply.

  • Template Picker (#): The picker now highlights options on hover and closes automatically when clicking outside or pressing Escape. If dismissed without a selection, the trigger character is removed.

  • Category Selection: Picking categories is now faster with arrow key support, auto-highlighting, using the enter key to select, and instant UI updates.

Admin & Billing

New

  • Problem Detection Page: A new "Needs Attention" dashboard allows admins to track delivery failures, bounces, and lost inbound mail. It provides details on affected workspaces and specific error causes, with support for CSV exports and trend filtering.

Fixed

  • Resolved an issue where VAT numbers were failing to save correctly within billing settings.

Reliable Replying and Comprehensive Activity Logs

v0.8.10

Inbox

Email Handling

  • Improved Reply and Reply All logic to ensure email addresses are not incorrectly re-added. Choosing Reply now strictly keeps only the original sender, while Reply All maintains the most recent recipient list without resurrecting previously removed addresses.

  • Enhanced message headers to show "to ... · cc ..." lines by default. Expanding these headers provides full address details with one-click copy buttons and direct access to quoted-history trimming.

Thread Management

  • Reply behavior now defaults to the specific message selected and remembers your choice between Reply and Reply All throughout the thread.

  • Quoted history now dynamically includes all messages up to the one being answered. Messages newer than the active reply are greyed out and marked as "not included" in the preview to prevent accidental data leaks.

  • You can now opt to remove some or all of the quoted history from your reply.

Notifications

Modified notication sounds

  • Notification sounds have been re-tuned for a softer experience. Both sounds include a slow fade-in to remove sharp edges and can be previewed in settings.

Billing

Billing is now strictly per person and per workspace.

  • Billing access is now restricted exclusively to workspace owners. Admins will see an "owner-only" notification when attempting to access payment settings.

  • Payment security has been updated so that subscriptions are tied to the individual authenticated user rather than the workspace, preventing unauthorized access to saved payment methods across different accounts.

Admin Dashboard

Activity Log

  • Added a new Activity Log screen for administrators. This provides a centralized view of events across all workspaces with support for date filtering, event type searches, and CSV exports. Allowing for quicker diagnosis of errors.

  • Every outbound send attempt is now recorded. The log tracks the status of replies, including held, undone, sending, sent, or failed alongside the specific agent, ticket ID, and recipients.

  • Expanded event logging to cover critical system actions. This includes inbound mail processing (received, rejected, or duplicate), ticket lifecycle changes (status, priority, assignment, and merges), and workspace management (membership changes and subscription updates).

Enhanced Notification System - Part 6

v0.8.9

Email Conversations

Delivery Status Tracking

Every sent email now displays its real-time delivery state next to the timestamp. You can see if a message is Sent, Delivered, Delayed, Marked as spam, or Not delivered. Hovering over the status reveals the exact time and the specific reason for any delivery failure. These statuses update automatically based on mail provider reports.

Inbox & Notifications

Improved Organization

  • Notification Grouping: Repeated updates on the same ticket now collapse into a single row with a counter (e.g., ×3) to reduce clutter.

  • Filtering and Read States: The notification menu now includes an "Unread only" toggle, and you can now mark any notification as unread to come back to it later.

  • Auto-Cleanup: To keep your workspace fast, notifications older than 90 days are now automatically deleted each night.

Notification Preferences

  • Workspace Management: Users in multiple workspaces can now toggle notifications off for an entire workspace via Settings → Notifications.

  • Quiet Hours: You can now set a custom window for Quiet Hours. During this time, browser alerts and emails are held back, though updates will still appear in your in-app feed.

Enhanced Notification System - Part 5

v0.8.8

Notifications

Daily and Weekly Digests

Under Settings → Notifications you can now pick a digest email: off, daily, or weekly (Mondays), plus the hour it should arrive in your own time zone. The email lists everything unread since your last digest, each item linking straight to the ticket.

Email & Communication

Standardized Quote History

Your replies were sent as just the new text plus the signature, no quoted history at all (only forwards included the previous message), so anyone added to a thread later saw a message with no context.

Now every reply includes the previous message as a standard quoted block (like Gmail/Outlook), so newly CC'd people get the full conversation, and the inbox still collapses the quote behind the "···" toggle so it stays tidy.

Reply All Accuracy

When a past message went to several people, Reply All now fills in each address separately instead of one bogus combined entry, so follow-up replies send correctly.

Reliable Multi-Recipient Emailing and Ticket Preview Fixes

v0.8.7

Inbox

Multi-Recipient Email Support

We fixed an issue where emails sent to multiple people were only reaching the first recipient. Now, when you email multiple addresses, the first recipient stays in the To field while all others are added via CC. This ensures all parties receive the message as intended while the conversation view still displays the full recipient list exactly as you entered it. This fix also applies to scheduled sends.

Tickets

Accurate Comment Previews

The ticket list was previously displaying the oldest internal comment instead of the most recent one. We have updated the list to ensure each ticket now previews the latest activity, making it easier to see the current status of your conversations at a glance.

Enhanced Notification System - Part 4

v0.8.6

Notifications

New features

  • Added distinct sound effects for specific events: new replies play a bright two-note ding, while general in-app notifications use a softer chime. These sounds are generated in-browser to ensure they trigger reliably even when the tab is in the background.

  • Introduced individual sound controls in Settings → Notifications. Users can now toggle specific sounds on or off and use the new Play button to preview each tone.

Updates

  • Notification email buttons now link directly to app.konekt.is instead of www.konekt.is which is now used for the marketing site.

  • Consolidated audio preferences by replacing the legacy global sound toggle with the new granular notification settings.

Inbox imporvements

v0.8.5

Inbox

Optimized Message Composer

The composer now clears immediately after you click send, moving the message text, recipients, and attachments to the background for processing. If a message or internal note fails to send, your content is restored exactly as you wrote it alongside an error notification. This improvement applies to internal notes and emails without an undo-send delay.

Improved Internal Note Visibility

Internal comments now feature a subtle amber background and a matching accent border. This visual change makes notes easier to distinguish from customer messages within the ticket feed.

New Inbox Activity Toggle

A new "Inbox options" card is available in settings. You can now toggle the "Last activity only on customer reply" setting. When enabled, the last-activity date for a conversation only updates when a customer sends a reply. When disabled, any incoming or outgoing message updates the timestamp.

Enhanced Notification System - Part 3

v0.8.4

Notifications

Settings & Subscriptions

  • Unified Event Management: The notification settings page now uses a shared event list grouped by Tickets and Conversations. This covers all six core events: assignments, unassignments, ticket changes, customer replies, internal comments, and mentions.

  • Improved Toggle Reliability: Settings now update instantly with automatic rollbacks if a save fails. Workspace-specific overrides now correctly prioritize over account-wide settings for in-app, email, and push notifications.

  • Accurate Defaults: Default states now reflect the server configuration (in-app and email enabled, push disabled), ensuring the UI matches actual behavior even for untouched settings.

Messaging & Conversations

Message Retention (Undo Send)

  • Reliable Sending: Messages held during the "undo send" period are no longer discarded if you navigate away. Switching tickets, closing a conversation, or moving to another part of the app will now trigger the message to send to the original ticket.

  • Failure Recovery: If a held message fails to send, the text, recipients, and attachments are automatically restored as a draft on the relevant ticket, accompanied by a "Message not sent" warning.

  • Browser Protections: Closing or refreshing your browser tab while a message is being held will now trigger a warning and save your content as a draft.

Other

Subscriptions

  • Subscription Fixes: Resolved an issue with the subscription confirmation message display.

  • The billing “Contact us” link now points to http://www.konekt.is/contact in a new tab. Instead of a mailto link.

Security

  • Webhook Protection: Inbound webhook secrets are now restricted to admin-gated server code. Regular team members can no longer view these secrets, though all email and channel functionality remains unaffected.

Enhanced Notification System - Part 2

v0.8.3

Notifications

New Features

  • Server-side Event Triggers: Notification logic has moved from the client to the database. This ensures email and push notifications are delivered reliably even if you are offline.

  • New Event Toggles: You can now manage alerts for specific actions under Settings → Notifications:

    • Updates made to your tickets by other team members.

    • New unassigned tickets (available for Admins and Owners).

    • Internal comments added to your assigned tickets.

    • Direct @mentions in any ticket or comment.

Updates

Inbox tabs

Updates

  • You can now have four inbox tabs active at a time instead of three.

Enhanced Notification System - Part 1

v0.8.2

Inbox

New features

  • Added a "Clear all" option to the notification menu, including a confirmation dialog to prevent accidental deletion.

  • Added "Delete read" to help clean up your inbox by removing only processed notifications.

Updates and improvements

  • Improved navigation with shorter, readable ticket references that automatically switch to the correct workspace when clicked.

  • The notification list now supports scrolling for easier access to history.

  • Actions like "Mark all read" are now optimistic, updating the UI instantly while providing feedback if a network error occurs.

  • Legacy notification links have been normalized and backfilled to ensure consistent behavior across all entries. Ensuring routing to the correct ticket.

  • Added a Seat Management card to the Team settings, allowing admins to add or remove seats and access the billing portal for invoices.

  • Integrated Polar setup to streamline workspace configuration.

Inbox

New

  • The inbox layout now dynamically fills available height, ensuring alert bars no longer push the message composer out of view.

  • The split-view ratio is now stored as an exact per-user percentage, maintaining your layout preferences across sessions.

  • Ticket merges now generate an inline update within the ticket feed for better traceability.

  • Automations now post inline updates when they run on a ticket. You can click these updates to view the specific rule in Settings → Automations.

Conversation panel resizing improvements

v0.7.6

Conversation Management

Internal Notes Behavior

  • Internal notes no longer update the last-activity timestamp for conversations. This timestamp is now exclusively driven by sent or received emails.

  • Notes still appear as previews or indicators in the list if they are the most recent activity.

  • Sorting logic and unread badges remain tied to email activity to ensure priority focuses on customer interactions.

Conversation Panel

Resizing and Layout Improvements

  • Fixed a layout conflict where switching between tickets would cause the panel width to shift. The interface now preserves a consistent, user-controlled split across all tickets.

  • Resolved an issue where long URLs, unbroken subjects, or wide HTML tables in emails would force the panel to expand horizontally, squeezing the sidebar.

  • Added overflow protection and word-wrapping to all message bodies and headers to prevent content from breaking the layout.

  • Implemented size constraints on email HTML tables and pre-formatted text blocks to ensure they remain scrollable and fit within the viewable area.

Improved Inbox Navigation and Threading Stability

v0.7.5

Inbox

Navigation and Reliability

  • Added a smart navigation memory that tracks a ticket's position for one minute after you reply. This ensures that when you close a ticket, the system correctly navigates to the next one in the list even if the previous ticket moved due to recent activity.

  • Locked the inbox sidebar width to prevent long subject lines or contact names from expanding the layout.

  • Standardized ticket row heights to ensure a stable interface that no longer shifts when icons appear or when hovering over items.

  • Synchronized ticket status updates so the conversation header reflects automation changes immediately without needing a refresh.

Threading and Message Visibility

  • Improved the conversation view to ensure the latest message body is always visible while keeping signatures and older quoted history behind the expansion control.

  • Refined the threading logic to prevent unrelated automated emails (such as "Contact Us" forms) from being incorrectly merged into the same ticket.

  • Enhanced Message-ID tracking for outbound emails to ensure customer replies are correctly attached to the original conversation.

App Bar

  • Added a new Alert Bar to the interface for important system notifications.

Enhanced Settings Control and Improved AI Translation Handling

v0.7.4

Settings Management

Unsaved Changes Guard

To prevent accidental loss of data, a new confirmation dialog now appears when you attempt to navigate away from settings with unsaved changes. This includes a "Leave / Stay" prompt for in-app navigation and the native browser prompt for page reloads. This has been implemented across Workspace, Account, System, and AI settings.

Discard Changes

Every settings tab now features a clear "Discard changes" action. This allows you to immediately revert any modifications without needing to refresh the page.

Save Button State

The save button is now disabled by default and will only become active when there are pending changes to be saved.

Admin & AI Features

Translation Error Handling

AI translation errors now feature user-friendly messaging. If a workspace hits its AI credit limit (Errors 402, 403, or 429), the system will display a specific notification regarding the credit limit. Other technical failures will now show a simple retry prompt instead of raw code errors.

Override Controls

New admin controls have been added to allow for the manual override of default settings introduced in version 0.7.3.

Optimized Multi-Stage Message Translation

v0.7.3

Inbox

Efficient Translation Logic

We have overhauled how the app handles incoming message translations to significantly improve speed and reduce resource consumption. Instead of processing every message through a large language model by default, we now use a tiered detection system.

  • Smart Detection Gate: Every message now passes through a local heuristic check for scripts (like Cyrillic or Arabic) and a lightweight detection model before any translation occurs.

  • 80% Content Threshold: Translation is only triggered when at least 80% of a message is identified as a foreign language, preventing unnecessary processing of short phrases or mixed-language replies.

  • Thread & Contact Awareness: The system now remembers language preferences. Once a contact's language is identified, or if a thread is already established in your primary language, the system skips detection for future messages to save time.

  • Content Stripping: To ensure only relevant text is processed, the system now automatically strips signatures, quoted replies, and HTML boilerplate before detection and translation.

New Translation Controls

You now have more control over when and how translations occur within your workspace.

  • Manual by Default: A new workspace setting allows you to choose between Auto translation or Manual mode. In Manual mode, you will see a "Translate" button only when a foreign language is detected, rather than translating every message instantly.

  • Contact Language Settings: You can now set a specific language or select "Never Translate" directly on a contact profile to bypass the detection engine entirely.

Automated Filtering

To reduce noise, the system now automatically ignores specific message types:

  • Short Messages: Common phrases under 15 words (like "Thanks" or "OK") are skipped.

  • Machine-Generated Mail: Auto-replies, out-of-office notifications, and bulk marketing headers are no longer sent for translation.

  • Internal Content: Outbound messages and internal team notes are strictly excluded from the translation engine.

Automatic Translation

v0.7.2

Automatic translation

What is new

  • Added automatic translation for incoming messages, allowing teams to communicate with customers across different languages instantly.

  • Translated messages include a dedicated icon and a "Show original" toggle to view the source text.

  • Workspace admins can now configure translation behavior under Settings → Translation, including selecting the target language and defining a list of languages to never translate.

Inbox

Optimizing Infrastructure for Cost Efficiency

v0.6.4

Infrastructure and Performance

New Scheduled Task Architecture

We have replaced the constant one-minute background polling with an event-driven system to reduce cloud compute costs. Previously, the system checked for messages 1,440 times a day regardless of activity. The system now utilizes a dynamic scheduling model that only triggers when needed.

  • On-Demand Execution: When a message is scheduled, a specific one-off job is created for that exact timestamp. Once the message is sent, the job removes itself.

  • Automated Cleanup: If a scheduled message is canceled or deleted, the associated background task is automatically unscheduled.

  • Hourly Safety Sync: A lightweight hourly check replaces the per-minute process to catch any missed tasks, reducing daily wake-ups by 98%.

  • Database Idling: These changes allow the database to enter an idle state when no tasks are pending, significantly lowering monthly compute expenses.

Data Handling

Updated Query Logic

We have optimized how data is fetched across several sections of the app to reduce memory usage and data transfer costs.

  • Email and Ticket Lists: The application no longer fetches full message bodies (HTML and plain text) when loading lists in the Inbox. Detailed content is now only loaded when a specific conversation is opened.

  • File Management: Similar optimizations were applied to the file browser to ensure only metadata is retrieved during initial navigation.

  • Performance Indexing: Added new database indexes to ensure that checks for pending tasks are instantaneous and do not impact system performance.

Subapase migration and category organization

v0.6.3

Category improvements

Unified category system

Template categories are now unified with workspace categories. This change ensures a consistent taxonomy across the app, allowing you to use the same organizational structure for both your active workspace items and your saved templates.

When applying a template in the inbox view in now surfaces the templates that contain the same category as your ticket first before showing other templates.

Sub categories

You can now create sub categories within your workspace to better organize complex workflows and navigation. This adds a second level of hierarchy to your existing category structure.

Category creation

When creating a category you know get shown a popup to connect them to files and templates directly from the category settings.

Subapase migration

Steps 1 and 2 of Supabase migration is complete: the schema is deduplicated and indexed, the dead email_accounts table is gone, stale invitations and orphaned reactions are cleared, all 9 workspaces and their data are untouched, and the migration decisions are stored in project memory for the cutover session.

Security fixes

  • App settings anonymous read — the anonymous policy only exposes the app_version key (a public version string); every write still requires platform admin.

  • Public avatars storage — avatars and company logos are rendered by public URL and embedded in outbound email signatures, which can't use signed URLs; uploads remain restricted per user folder. It'll be moved to private + signed URLs during the self-hosted migration.

  • Ticket delete/tenant scope — confirmed tickets and related tables enforce access through the tenant membership and admin checks on every operation, including delete.

New File Folders and Improved Inbox Filters

v0.6.2

File Manager

New

  • Added folder support to the file manager, allowing you to organize your documents and assets into nested structures.

  • Better search and filter controls.

  • Filtered out footer images from appearing as email attachments to reduce clutter.

  • Resolved an issue where inbox views were incorrectly filtering out important footer content.

  • Better experience when clicking open original, re-using the file library file viewer. With a quick add button so you can add items to your file library as well as downloading them.

Reports

Changed

  • The Beta tag has been removed from the Reports section as it is now fully released.

Security updates

v0.6.1

Admin Dashboard

  • Enhanced dashboard security by removing static shared secrets. All administrative actions and data reads now require a verified platform admin login, and all activities are logged for auditing purposes.

Data Access & Privacy

  • Hardened access rules for email address data. Read access is strictly limited to tenant members, while modifications and deletions are restricted to workspace or platform admins. Users retain limited ability to update their own records within their specific tenant.

  • Verified that no anonymous or overly permissive deletion rules exist, ensuring data remains secure against unauthorized removal.

Security Patches

  • Updated core text processing libraries, including Tiptap and Markdown-it, to address vulnerabilities and ensure consistent build performance.

  • Upgraded DOMPurify and Isomorphic-DOMPurify to the latest versions to strengthen protection against cross-site scripting (XSS) across the entire application, including PDF generation components.

Improved

  • Pinned Settings Items — Refined how pinned items are managed within settings to allow for more intuitive organization and faster access to frequent configuration pages.

  • Security hardening — Revoked public execute permissions on sensitive seed functions and moved avatar access to tenant-scoped policies.

  • Performance caps — Added hard caps to lists (tickets, emails, files) to ensure stability at scale.

Fixed

  • General Polish — Squashed a collection of minor bugs across the platform, including small UI regressions and edge-case errors discovered in the recent task sprint.

  • Signature persistence — Verified signature storage in the new database schema to ensure workspace-specific signatures save correctly.

  • Notification logic — Replaced the legacy push subscription system with the modern browser Notification API and cleaned up unused legacy tables.

Reports

Improved

Improved

  • Templates can now be renamed and their content edited inline via an Edit button in the detail pane.

  • Core and custom statuses now share one unified drag-and-drop list, ensuring your preferred order is reflected across the inbox and conversation headers.

  • Categories are now merged into a single list with unified ordering; default categories keep a hide toggle while custom ones can be edited or deleted.

  • Template variables now show in the composer and the template picker allowing you to see if all the variables are correct before sending.

  • General quality-of-life improvements have been made to the template management interface for a smoother workflow. Such as allowing you to use # in the inbox to apply a template without opening template picker and template variables now show as solid block instead of pure text.

  • Notes and reactions can now only be deleted by the user who originally created them.

Inbox Clean-up and Smarter Filtering

v0.5.8

New

  • Unread badges — the sidebar inbox now shows an orange unread count. The inbox tabs (My / Unassigned / Team) have been updated to a muted total count and now display an orange dot if there are unread messages in any tab.
  • Attachment Filtering — tracking pixels, 1×1 hidden images, and known tracker hosts (like HubSpot) are now automatically filtered out of your inbox attachment list to keep things tidy.
  • Category Search — category lists in the inbox, settings, and ticket filter popovers now feature a search box once you have more than 5 categories.
